I can't help but wonder if Seattle actually has a standard for bus signals since THEY SHOULDN'T GO GREEN AT THE SAME TIME THE MAIN STREET HAS A GREEN.
Granted, the one in my town literally has an intersection go all red - bus signal changes to green, allowing a bus to depart without obstruction. But when you have both a certain street and the bus signal turn green with little to no bus lane after the intersection, that creates a hazardous merging situation should either the bus driver, traffic or both not pay attention.

*shrug* Where I'm from, city busses either get their own lanes or merge onto regular ones, always having the right of way, so that pretty much solves it. I've never even heard of a city bus in an accident in my 27 years here.
